Tracy Bucket Bag Part 1: All Casual

Tracy Bucket Bag Part 1: All Casual

Sunshine + Bucket Bags = !!!

Tracy Bucket Bag House of Moruka
Now let's be realistic here, even though it's getting nice and warm outside now we really aren't going to be running around in high heels, high low skirts and 'beat to the Gawds' faces every day. Some days we just gotta throw something on and bounce. But we still wanna rock a cute bag that can carry our stuff.

Enter the Tracy Bucket Bag. House of Moruka's newest addition and first venture into bucket bags. Isn't she cute? She's the perfect size; not too big and not too small but can still carry a lot. This bag can even hold my big camera y'all! The great thing about Tracy is that I can wear her with damn near everything because of her neutral colour.

When I went out I decided that a light airy shirt, blue jeans and some Levi sneakers were the perfect outfit for running out and taking a stroll just because it's warm outside. I had actually bought the shoes the day before so I was dying to take them for a spin. Now I'm finding every reason to wear them.

HOUSE-OF-MORUKA-HANDMADE-ALICIA-CLUTCH
When I was looking for a way to show you how to style the Alicia Clutch I knew that I had to pair this luxuuuuuuuurious clutch with the traditional Fall berry colour palette. It plays off the Alicia Clutch's fur and gold brocade so well. I see this clutch being a complete show stopper at any event.

Dear House Of Moruka Supporters

This is why I love what I do.

For two years I have been working on House Of Moruka. I have had many ups and downs and changes all for the betterment and growth of what I love to do. You see, I'm not just a handbag designer. I am in the Service of fashion. House Of Moruka is in the Service of helping you to look and feel your best. And I love that. I want to talk about an experience I had yesterday. I've had this experience before but how I feel didn't exactly hit me till now. Or I should say that I haven't been able to put that feeling into words till now.

Yesterday I had to do an in person delivery to one of my very loyal customers. I met her at my very first trunk show two years ago and she's been along for the ride with me ever since. We're both located in the New York Metro area so it's fairly easy to get to her. When I started this business I wasn't even thinking about in person deliveries. I wasn't thinking that I would have this much access to my customers. I wasn't thinking that far ahead. Truthfully, I thought that I would just be dropping stuff off at the post office and that would be it. But being a small business and being accessible goes and in hand. This experience went from a Facebook comment to Facebook messages to dropping off her clutch to her husband in Brooklyn. (And yes, I wrote this on the way home on the train from said delivery. Now that's what you call inspiration.) I'm even friends with my very first customer like ever to buy something from me. We talk and hang out regularly. I'll go out on a limb and say she's one of my home slices. She supports me in all of my ventures whether they be Moruka related or personal. She is a great friend.

I LOVE this part of what I do. I get to make a bag, wrap it up all pretty, hand it in someone's hands and make friends. Being in physical contact with your customers is invaluable. I gotta say thank you to all of my customers and supporters. You guys are the Real MVPs. I appreciate every last one of you. Every purchase, every share, every comment, every like. I love being able to make something beautiful for you and for you to love it as much as I do. It's so fulfilling to know that every time I make a bag for you, you are choosing for me to take part in reinforcing how great you feel about yourself and put your best foot forward.

Thank You for that honor.
And remember to BE YOU. BE BOLD. BE MORUKA.

FALL STYLE: COLOR POPPING IN NEUTRAL

House of Moruka Marie tote bag Fall 2015

This was the first official cold day of Fall in my opinion. It was 45 degrees outside but I vowed to still look cute. Plus I'm still pretty much in denial about the weather change so I came out with only a light jacket, even with the falling leaves.

Lately I've been feeling black and brown. Even though what I'm wearing is neutral, I still managed to create  a color pop effect pairing the Marie Tote with black pants and shoes. The white in the tote really ties every thing together.

What I wore:

Jacket: Goodwill thrifted

Jeans: Local store

Shoes: Marshalls

Earrings: Mandee

Bangles: The Pink Locket

Bag: House of Moruka Marie Tote
